Pleasant View Hops Farm

In 2023, Laura (Duesterbeck) Johnson created the Pleasant View Hops Farm in honor of the original dairy farm's name, Pleasant View. It is a women-owned business.

 

In our first year, we grew five different non-patented varieties including comet, centennial, cascade, cashmere, & golding. In 2024, we will add another three varieties including Willamette, Vista, & Alpha.

At the end of the season, our family collected the hop cones. Some were made into hops pillows that are sold in the Grainery, others went into, beer brewed the same day, and the remaining were frozen.
